Wates Reshaping Tomorrow - CAM Estate Garden Project with BHP

Wates Brent Planned in partnership with Brent Housing Partnership held a Community Garden Project as part of Wates Reshaping Tomorrow Community Week.

Wates provided the CAM Estate with a gardening area for the residents from the estate to tend to and for somewhere to sit and enjoy their garden. Clive Walsh Brent Operations Manager organized local Subcontractor HRBG to level off the ground for the area to be re turfed and the installation of the raised flowerbeds. Clive also arranged for the material and tools to be delivered to sites. HRBG also provided volunteers to attend on the day to assist.

Aruna Heyer Admin Support Manager and CSR rep rallied around and organized the volunteers, gazebo set up, lunch and refreshments for all those who participated.

Veolia provided the plants and shrubs that were planted and carried out ground works at the rear of the property near the CAM Estate's Community Centre.

Christina Byrnes from BHP attended the event and took part in the project along with her colleagues. The residents were very sociable and interacted with us all on the day and it was a very positive day,

Wates the contractors and BHP landlords worked together to give something back to our community. Big thank you goes out to all involved for their time, their fantastic attitudes and smiley faces. Thank you to the all the contractors that provided materials and volunteers. The day was very successful and we hope to take part in many more in the future.
